It is my great pleasure and honour to invite you to Turkey for the International Basic Neurosurgery Course, Term I, Course III, “Spine and Peripheral Nerve” which will be held in Antalya between March 14-18, 2014.
As I pointed out in my opening remarks at IBNC 2013, one of the most important aim of this course is to connect east and west, north and south to share science, peace, and friendship and moreover, to act as a bridge across civilizations on a scientific platform. It gives me a great honor to announce that Turkish Neurosurgical Society awarded total 185 scholarships to neurosurgery residents for IBNC 2012 and IBNC 2013. These Courses were a resounding success, attracting well over 120 attendees from 30 countries and 230 attendees from 65 countries, respectively.
Turkish Neurosurgical Society offers up to 2 scholarships to neurosurgery residents from each developing country. Again Prof. Gazi Yaşargil will give 5 scholarships for IBNC 2014. Also, the Middle East Spine Society offers 5 scholarships for residents from Middle East Countries. I would like to invite all young neurosurgeons and neurosurgery residents to apply for IBNC 2014 Scholarship.
The Congress of Neurological Surgeons, AANS/CNS Joint Section on Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral, Middle East Spine Society, Turkish Neuro-oncology Foundation, and Turkish Neurosurgical Society Spine and Peripheral Nerve Surgery Education and Training Group are also support IBNC 2014 by giving volunteer lecturers.
I warmly invite you to be part of the most exciting and innovative event in basic neurosurgical education.
