INVITATION
Dear Colleagues,
It is my pleasure to invite you to join us for the Regional Meeting of International Pelvic Pain Society (IPPS), September 22-24, 2016, in Istanbul, Turkey, hosted by Turkish Pelvic Pain Society (TPPS). TPPS, established in 2015, is a rapidly expanding community looking forward to having international scientific and social collaborations. Members of the society, Organising Committee and the Scientific Committee are taking great care to design a programme that combines hot topics in pelvic pain pathology.
This meeting offers you a unique opportunity to meet and learn with some of the world’s best experts on pelvic pain in a truly unique and captivating city. The Congress of IPPS will take place in Ceylan Intercontinental Hotel, located in the heart of the city. Ceylan Intercontinental Hotel with easy transportation offers convenient facilities such as meeting rooms for ongoing parallel sessions allowing you to select your favourite topics, exhibition hall for poster sessions and companies, and networking places to meet with your colleagues.
Istanbul is the only city in the world built on two continents and because of that it is a city steeped with history, having served as capital to Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman Empires. Istanbul is one of the world’s most exciting conference destinations. It is a real must see destination with many unique features, easily accessible by hundreds of direct flights from many countries. Istanbul, which has been a capital for centuries, embraces many historical and cultural beauties of Turkey including ancient and modern attractions.
On behalf of the Organising Committee, I welcome you to Istanbul for a great meeting to experience great medical education and collaboration in this truly unique city and enjoy this beautiful city. Hopefully, you can actively participate in our Annual Meeting and schedule some extra time to do some sight-seeing of the Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman palaces, mosques, churches, monasteries, monuments, walls and ruins, as well as experience Istanbul’s bazaars (an especially fun experience), street vendors and fine dining restaurants. For those interested in more contemporary culture, Istanbul is a modern European city and a center of fashion with incredible shopping and nightlife as well.
I hope that I have the opportunity to welcome you personally to this unique meeting and city.
Fatih Durmuşoğlu, MD
