9th International CONFERENCE ON TRIBOLOGY

The BALKAN TRIBOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION (BTA) WAS FOUNDED IN 1993 WITH SIX MEMBER COUNTRIES BULGARIA, FYROM, GREECE, ROMANIA, SERBIA AND TURKEY. The International Conferences on Tribology 'BALKANTRIB' is supported by the Balkan Tribological Association and is organized, every three years since 1993, in various Balkan countries and aim to stimulate collaboration between Balkan and other countries for developing research and development in tribology, as well as application aspects like innovative products and services. The First Balkan Conference on Tribology BALKANTRIB '93 was held on October 1-3, 1993 in Sofia, Bulgaria. The next conferences BALKANTRIB were as follows: BALKANTRIB'96, Thessaloniki, Greece; BALKANTRIB'99, Sinaia, Romania; BALKANTRIB'02, Kayseri, Turkey; BALKANTRIB'05, Kragujevac, Serbia, BALKANTRIB'08, Sozopol, Bulgaria, BALKANTRIB'11, Thessaloniki, Greece.BALKANTRIB'14, Sinaia, Romania. The organizer of the 9th International Conference on Tribology (BalkanTRib'17) is TURKEY, will be held between 13-15 September 2017 in Cappadocia, Nevsehir. BalkanTRib’17 provides an ideal academic platform for researchers to present the latest research findings and describe emerging technologies, and directions in Tribology. It also provides the premier interdisciplinary forum for scientists, engineers, and practitioners to present their latest research results, ideas, developments and applications of Tribology Science. In 1994 the publishing of the Journal of the Balkan Tribological Association JBTA has started. This journal is now indexed in prestigious databases such as Thomson Reuters having an impact factor of 0.44 for the year of 2015. BalkanTRib’17 will be held in Turkey by the supported of Erciyes University and Tribology Association (Kayseri).
