II. INTERNATIONAL FISHERIES SYMPOSIUM IN CYPRUS

The International Fisheries Symposium in Cyprus 04-08 November 2018 in Girne, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is being organized by Cyprus Marine Sciences Foundation and Istanbul University, Faculty of Aquatic Sciences (Turkey). The I. International Fisheries Symposium in Cyprus on 24-27 March 2013, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus was conducted successfully, attracting 400 participants from 14 different nations, with keynote speakers from Turkey, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Germany, and Italy.

 

A limited number of submitted contributions of this symposium were selected by a stringent international peer review process for publication in the Journal of Applied Ichthyology. These papers were presented in a special section of the journal 32. special publication in 2016.

 

The II. International Fisheries Symposium in Cyprus 2018 is expected to be the primary assembly to share the research outcomes and discussions on the role of fisheries and marine scientists in sustainable fisheries. This symposium will consist of different emerging topics in fisheries and marine sciences. English will be the official language of the symposium. Abstract and full paper should be submitted in English will be peer-reviewed by the scientific committee. Participation will be encouraged from the broadest possible range of groups from academia, government institution, and industry.
