50th IPRA World Congress

INVITATION

Dear IPRA members, Dear Friends in Public Relations, It is a great privilege and pleasure to invite you to attend the World Congress of IPRA co-organized with our colleagues of the Turkish PR Associations, on June 26- 28 June, 2005, in Istanbul, Turkey. I hope that you will come from all over the world to join us in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the International Public Relations Association. While the Congress will look back at the progress made in our profession throughout the world in the past half-century, it will mainly focus on the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. And we know there are plenty. The main theme of the Congress will be "Communication: The Sustainable Path to Trust" - a topic we consider to be of great relevance at the present time. Few places in the world can claim more symbolic reasons for hosting such a Congress than Istanbul. We will be at one of the world's most important crossroads both of continents and cultures. We will be in a metropolis of architectural masterpieces past and present where trade is conducted in the bazaar and the shopping mall and where discussions reflect a long and rich historical past. Istanbul is a city so cosmopolitan, that it makes everyone feel at home. So, please allow me to welcome you to Istanbul in June 2005 for the World Congress of IPRA.
