Dear Colleagues,

We are very happy and honored to invite you to the second “Breathless Symphony” congress, which this year focuses on the subject of “Live Surgical Applications in Snoring and Obstructive Sleep Apnea”. The “Breathless Symphony” congress will be held in “Spring”, as the first season within the scope of the “Four Seasons in ENT” meetings, and will be hosted in Medipol University Hospital on March 12-13, on the eve of 96th Doctor’s Day that will be celebrated on March 14, 2015.

Among the many important and engaging subjects to be addressed during the congress, advances and common problems in “Snoring and Obstructive Sleep Apnea” will be the subject of particular focus, with many presentations based on actual case reports. Our purpose in this year’s congress is to present a highly scientific program with the contribution of experienced speakers from both the national and international community, alongside conferences and panels related to the latest advances in the field.

The congress will also host a two-day live and full surgery workshop, every afternoon on these two days, live presentations will be made of hypoglossal nerve stimulator implants, uvulopharyngoplasty, robotic tongue base resections, together with anterior palatoplasty and radiofrequency-assisted snoring surgery. The speakers will include Prof. Dr. Frederic Chabolle, Prof. Dr. Robson Capasso, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ömür, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Gerek, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ömer Ýkiz, Prof. Dr. Ýlknur Haberal Can, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Seven, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alkurdi, Prof. Dr. Ýrfan Barutçu, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ziya Akbulut, Assist. Prof. Dr. Aziz Mehmet Gökbakan, Assist. Prof. Dr. Engin Aynacý, Assist. Prof. Dr. Oktay Olmuþçelik and Dentist Nihan Karaman, each of which has gained a strong reputation in their respective fields, and will be with us to share their experiences. In addition, our valuable masters Prof. Dr. Necmettin Akyýldýz, Prof. Dr. Ýbrahim Hýzalan, and Prof. Dr. Nermin Baþerer, will honor us with their presence and their valuable ideas at this year’s congress, and will participate as the guests of honor of the congress and our society.

Abstracts of the studies conducted by our colleagues will be accepted for e-poster presentation in the congress program, and on March 13, 2015 a free announcement and verbal presentation will be granted to five studies submitted to the congress, with one such presentation selected from among these for a monetary award.

Throughout the congress, the digital paintings of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Karaman, entitled “Engravings of Old Ýstanbul, Oriental Figures, and Van Gogh” and a classical music concert by Deniz and Doðan Doðangün will be presented for the pleasure of our guests.
